East Oxford Community Centre The East Oxford Community Centre is open from 12-5pm and will have a family friendly atmosphere inside with free activities such as a bouncy castle and Twistina giving away balloon models, there will be recycling advice and products given away, and a low cost community bar open.

Simple Sounds

Simple is a long-established underground club night in Oxford run by local promoters. The team puts on friendly 'no frills' music-centric parties where you can dance to the freshest House and Techno played by headline acts and local residents. It's Simple's tenth year of association with Cowley Road Carnival​. And it has a new location on Sunday 10 July: from 12-5pm find Simple's soundsystem in The Bullingdon Car Park with special guest Friend Within.

The Black Swan

Black Swan Cube Carnival day at the Black Swan, Crown Street will be festival of music, drink and food. With non-stop entertainment on the now famous "Cube Stage" with is wonderful sound and lighting system, which is situated in the pub garden, the day will be one to remembered and not missed. Caribbean food will be available together with our fully stocked bar in the Garden. This event will be an experience not to be passed up. A full range of music will be enacted from 12 to 9.30pm ranging from Irish dancing display, two DJs, an 11 piece Ukulele Band, Rock and Roll Bands, Rockabilly Bands and the Headliners being Dizzy Dizzy from Liverpool, who will close the days event with a cascade of Thin Lizzy hits. This event is a must on the Carnival day at The Black Swan, Crown Street, Oxford and it is all free apart from the food and Drink!

The Library

The Library will be hosting our usual garden party with our resident Djs playing the biggest tunes. Expect a eclectic selection of funk & soul, hip hop, dance and electro. Come check out our new Craft Beer Bar down in the basement, with a beers from the best local, national and international breweries it's the perfect to place to come and chill out with a cold beer.

Join the crowds at Dancin' Oxford's popular Dance Stage at Manzil Gardens where we will be showcasing the huge variety of great dance Oxford has to offer. Expect an action-packed afternoon of dance. The highlight of the afternoon will be special guests 2Faced Dance Company with KAPOW. Look forward to phenomenal dance, vibrant costumes and audience interaction. Witness the inaugural Superhero Games when three of Planet Earth's greatest superheroes battle it out for the title of Most Supreme Superhero...Ever. Kate Garratt

For the fourth year running Carnival has a stage hosted by the Young Women's Music Project and BG Records. The stage was programmed for young people ages 14-25 and features original music from around the county. Expect to see alternative and urban music with a high ratio of women on stage. The name of the stage comes from singer, guitarist and songwriter Kate Garrett who founded the Young Women's Music Project some 16 years ago. This project aims to empower and liberate young women across Oxfordshire by providing an inclusive and supportive space for them to make music together.
