The Lloyds TSB London 2012 Olympic Torch Tour will be at Cowley Road Carnival in South Park, Oxford on Sunday 3rd July.

Lloyds TSB’s London 2012 Olympic Torch Tour is an interactive roadshow bringing the excitement of the Olympic Torch Relay to local communities across the UK.  Visitors can have their photo taken with the prototype London 2012 Olympic Torch, learn about the history of the Relay, meet their Lloyds TSB Local Hero, be advised by a Lloyds TSB representative how to nominate someone who’s made a difference in their local community to carry the Olympic Flame in the Olympic Torch Relay in 2012 and the opportunity to record your own nomination supporting video within the Lloyds TSB bespoke taxi.

The Olympic Torch Relay will be a 70-day celebration, starting in the UK on 19 May 2012, travelling thousands of miles and bringing the London 2012 Games to hundreds of communities across the UK.  In 2012, the Relay is scheduled to visit Oxford on 9 July 2012. 95% of the UK population will be within a one-hour journey of the Flame and 8,000 people will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to carry the Flame, and with it a message of peace, hope, respect and friendship.

Nominations can be made either at the Lloyds TSB London 2012 Torch Tour or online via lloydstsb.com/carrytheflame from 9 June until 12 September 2011. Online nominations can be made until 12 September 2011 and selected Torchbearers will be announced from January 2012.

Lloyds TSB and the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay

As the only National Presenting Partner for the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay, Lloyds TSB is proud to invite everybody to share the journey and nominate someone who’s made a difference, big or small, in their community to carry the Olympic Flame as part of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay.  It could be the coach for his dedication to supporting young athletes; the neighbour who’s always helping others in their area; the teacher who runs the after-school clubs; or anyone who has made a difference to their community and inspired others.
