Cowley Road Carnival is the region’s largest multicultural, community-led, outdoor arts event. It is a celebration of the rich, cultural diversity of East Oxford and a showcase for artistic talent from across the city. Last year, an estimated 30,000 people attended Carnival on Cowley Road and 36,000 in South Park over two days.

To stage Carnival on Cowley Road and in South Park costs approximately £150,000 a year. The event run by an independent charity, Cowley Road Works, led by a group of voluntary trustees.    Cowley Road Carnival receives limited finance from local authorities and the bulk of the funding must be found from other sources.  In return the Carnival offers a wealth of opportunities for companies, organisations and individuals to connect with the communities of East Oxford.
