Seby Ntege will be headlining the Carnival Music Stage at Manzil Gardens from 4,15 pm with the Mizike choir. The singer songwriter is a charismatic stage presence currently touring the UK and respected as one of the most accomplished East African musicians. He describes his sound as a musical marriage between Uganda, the UK and West Africa – ‘Ugandan afro/soul dance music’.

Back to the Planet

Playing at Carnival for the first time. Back to the Planet are an independent, hard to define, dub, crusty, punk, ska band who started their career in the squats of London and on the Free Festival circuit in the golden era of the new age travellers in the late 1980’s.

Back to the Planet (BTTP) formed while squatting together in Peckham, London in 1989, and attracted a following throughout the early 1990s. They played four consecutive Glastonbury Festivals and are still regulars at UK festivals such as Bearded Theory and Alchemy. They have been reformed since 2008 and have been playing a handful of festivals and packed out London dates every year

The band is  still playing as the original five piece band, and after releasing a successful E.P. “Kick Out” in 2016, they are due to go back into the studio during 2018 and record a new LP.
